Little Colorado River Gorge Navajo Tribal Park

The Little Colorado River (LCR) Goerge is a dramatic canyon on the northern side of Arizona, stretching over 50 miles and plunging depths of up to 3,000 feet. Visitors can experience a deep, narrow gorge were the cliffs come alive with vibrant shades of red, orange, and cream colors. The fine layers of limestone and sandstone catch the sunlight, creating a tapestry of colors textures along the canyon walls. Scenic viewpoints offer breathtaking views of the gorge with cliff-edge vistas that rival Grand Canyon’s East Rim- without the crowds. that serves as a popular stop for travelers exploring the region on their way to and from the East entrance of the Grand Canyon National Park.

Shadow Mountain Viewpoint

Located just miles West of Cameron, AZ on Highway 64. The viewpoint offers short paths leading from parking areas to the blue-railed viewing platforms hovering over more than 3,000 feet/914 m above the riverbed.
