Little Colorado River Gorge

The Little Colorado River Gorge Entry Fee is purchased upon arrival.  Wear your Mask!  Masks are required in all Navajo Tribal Park areas per Navajo Nation mandate. 

Entry Fee

Park Entry Fee to the Overlook: $8.00 per person, per day, donations accepted. Up to overlooks only. We do not accept National Park Passes as we are Navajo Tribal Parks and subject to Navajo Nation Laws.

Backcountry Permits: are issued upon request at all Navajo Nation Tribal Park locations, Please ask where you are going to hike. $15.00 per person. Additional Fees may apply.

Monday- Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 p.m.

All Tribal Parks are Closed: 

(Thanksgiving Day Nov. 24 , NN Family Day Nov. 25, Christmas Day Dec. 25 , and New Year’s Day Jan. 1).

About Little Colorado River Gorge

The Little Colorado River Gorge is the gateway to historic Grand Canyon, the Little Colorado River has two viewpoints that are in walking distance from the parking lot for your viewing pleasure. LCR has Ramada’s and park benches for your enjoyment. These areas are located above the pristine canyon. The look from above is breathtaking, we would like for all our visitors to enjoy each overlook.

The rugged terrain and rigged rocks are what the area has to offer for the advanced hiker. Please attain a Backcountry Permit before hiking, let someone know where you will be hiking and sign out upon return. Permits are issued at each Navajo Tribal Park location.

The Little Colorado River Gorge a scenic view while on your way to the Grand Canyon. For more information you can visit the Navajo Park and Recreation Visitor Center located at the entrance into the canyon at Hwy 89 and 64. It’s located at the corner of the junction.
