ANY ROCK CLIMBING OPPORTUNITIES ON THE NAVAJO RESERVATION?
No Rock Climbing whatsoever on tribal lands. more info
DO I NEED A PASSPORT? and ARE THERE TOLL FEES?
You do not need a Passport to be on the tribal lands.
There are currently NO TOLL FEES to travel on any of the roads on the Navajo reservation.
DO I NEED TO PURCHASE A PERMIT IF I AM JUST DRIVING, NO CAMPING?
You can travel through the Navajo reservation without a permit. The permit is for CAMPING and HIKING, two different fees each $5/day per person. more info
WHERE CAN I OBTAIN A COMMERCIAL FILMING PERMIT? PHOTOGRAPHY PERMIT?
You can visit our site and download a permit and also review the policies. more info
CAN YOU FAX ME A PERMIT APPLICATION?
Unfortunately, we cannot faxed the permit applications because they are a 2 part carbon copy which requires our office to keep on file. We will be happy to mail the application out to you 4 weeks before your destination - call 928.871.6647 - more info

I AM 1/2 NAVAJO AND WOULD LIKE TO VISIT NAVAJO PARKS, DO I STILL PAY THE ENTRANCE FEE?
No, we do not charge as long as you are enrolled within any Native American tribe. Please communicate this to the fee collector upon entering a Navajo Park.
I WOULD LIKE TO HIKE ALONE IN THE MONUMENT VALLEY TRIBAL PARK, DO NEED TO PURCHASE A PERMIT?
You cannot hike alone at this park, unless you are hiking the Wildcat Trail, otherwise you will need to make arrangements with a guided tour - more info
CONSEQUENCES FOR FAILURE TO OBTAIN A PERMIT
Individuals can get a citation or even arrested for trespassing on a Federal Indian Reservation.
